Geraldine Canny holds a Ph.D. in immunology and has extensive experience in academic research, having held faculty positions at Harvard Medical School and the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. During this time she mentored and trained several students. More recently, she has worked in research funding support and related policy, as well as being involved with public-private partnerships. She is the National Delegate and National Contact Point for Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA), a position she has held since January 2018.
Ireland ranks second in national drawdown per capita and MSCA is the area of highest national drawdown under Horizon 2020.
